MECHATRONIC PROGRAM

WHY SHOULD YOU CHOOSE PIRIREIS UNIVERSITY MARITIME VOCATIONAL HIGHER SCHOOL ( PRU MVHS )   "MECHATRONIC PROGRAM"?

Mechatronics is a profession created by combining important technical branches such as electricity, electronics, computers and machinery. The mechatronics program aims to prepare students for the Electro Technical Officer (ETO)  duty on the maritime trade vessels with the academic staff of specialist education and training. The mechatronics program's technical and marine courses are enriched by the university's modern facilities, labs and simulators. Lessons are carried out together with laboratory applications. Thirty six percent (36% )of the courses in the four semester program are conducted in English and almost thirty percent (30% ) of all courses are conducted in laboratories and simulators. We also have the opportunity to provide our students with a school training ship and an industry-based workplace internship.

Upon successful completion of the mechatronics program, students are awarded a bachelor's degree in mechatronics. Mechatronics program graduates will be able to continue their education in the relevant engineering departments of the faculties if they demonstrate the necessary educatıonal  success required for the programm Curriculum. Students who want to study in this program and accomplishe it with success , will be able to make it happen as a first in Turkey; just by paying a small fee after they graduate with the help of so called  "Work Guarantee" Project.

JOB OPPORTUNITIES

With the curriculum fully compliant with STCW 2010, PRU-MVH School Mechatronics graduates can start their jobs as the first in Turkey and secondly in the world as Electro Technical Officer (ETO) on commercial ships. They can also work as technicians in shipyards, ports, maritime companies' ground services, and respective technical services of the similar positions in maritime independent industries such as energy, electronics, automation, control, communications and automotive industries .
