Course Description

This course enables the cadets to gain an understanding of technical ship management and international regulations applied to the ship. It also aims to improve the cadets’ writing skills through use of certain forms and formats.

 

Course Objectives

 

Students who successfully pass this course will acquire knowledge and skills required for understanding technical and administrative management procedures in English. They will also improve their writing, in English, on technical and job related issues.

 

Course Learning Outcomes

 

In English, he or she:

1. Understands technical management issues.

2. Evaluates and reports the results of inspections.

3. Writes work orders, technical requests.

4. Manages inventory control and orders spare parts.
