The university infirmary employs a Specialized Doctor, a Psychologist and a Nurse. The infirmary is open all week on a full time basis.

The Piri Reis University infirmary has been primarily established to provide first aid medical care for any emergency situation that may arise at the university. The infirmary is able to meet most of the daily medical needs of students and faculty members in order to prevent any disruption to education. Medical dressings can be applied at the infirmary and if needed prescriptions can be prepared for students and staff. The medicine cabinet within the infirmary has the resources needed if any emergency situations arises. In more serious cases requiring specialization and/or further treatment patients are referred to the appropriate departments of the state and private hospitals nearby.

One of Piri Reis University’s aim is to contribute to students holistically, that is, cognitively, emotionally, with and towards social integrity and health wise. The Guidance and Psychological Counselling Services employ a Clinical Psychologist and two Counselling Psychologists. An appointment must be made to maintain the efficiency of the services. An appointment can be made online.

Within this process, the belief is that it is essential to; keep the conversations within the boundaries of respect, privacy, trust and personal rights; to discuss any topics of need without judgement and with unconditional acceptance; to be open and honest with the students; and to assist in solving the problems students face.
