Course Description
|
This course provide a basis for the students to acquire vision a of high level knowledge in the areas of basic sciences, mathematics and engineering and apply this knowledge to engineering problems of different difficulty levels. They are informed about current scientific research topics, and they learn, develop and implement innovative and novel methods. The students get advanced level knowledge not only in their own areas of specialty but also in other related areas in Engineering and/or relevant areas in other disciplines; and they utilize this knowledge in solving interdisciplinary problems in an efficient and innovative manner.
The graduates acquire skills to conduct advanced level and independent scientific research by accessing contemporary knowledge in their specialty areas; they provide innovative and novel contributions to the world of science and technology; they publish the results of their research in respected national and international scientific journals.

Explore topics that the students are looking to research, and discover the fields that they are willing to work on by combining scientific knowledge by research methodology, scientific analysis, theory development;data collection and evaluation techniques; technical practice and use of technology; dissemination; ethics in research.

Course Learning Outcomes
|
- The graduates acquire in depth knowledge in one of the various specialization areas of Engineering, they are informed about current scientific research topics and they implement innovative methods.
- The graduates get familiarized in other subspecialty areas related to their specialization in engineering and/or relevant areas in other disciplines.
- They acquire the skills to conduct and to complete scientific research by accessing contemporary knowledge in their specialty areas
- The graduates communicate their ideas and work related results in written and oral form concisely.
- Our graduates internalize rules of research and publication ethics as well as professional ethics.

Homework & Projects
|
At least two homeworks set will be assigned. Homework Reports must be prepared individually.
A mid-term project will be assigned for each student. (compulsory for mid termgrading). Students will provide innovative and novel contributions to the world of science and technology; they prepare the results of their research as to be published in respected national and international scientific journals.
