(Course Description)

İktisadın dayandığı temel ilkelerin ve iktisadi hayatın kavranması, günlük hayatta kullanılan iktisadi kavramların anlaşılması ve bireyler ile toplumun iktisadi davranış şekilleri ile karar verme sürecindeki rasyonelliğin öğretilmesi amaçlanır. İktisadi ve ekonomik terimlerin tanımlanması, güncel iktisadi olaylar ile piyasa mekanizmasının değerlendirilmesi ile ülke ekonomilerinde faaliyet gösteren piyasa türlerinin karşılaştırılmasına dair bilgiler verilir.

It is aimed at comprehending the basic principles of economics and economic life, understanding the economic concepts used in daily life, teaching the economic behaviour patterns of individuals and society and the rationality in the decision-making process. Information on the definition of financial and economic terms, the evaluation of current economic events and the market mechanism, and the comparison of market types operating in the country's economies are given.

Dersin Amacı

(Course Objectives)

Dersin amacı, Mikroiktisadın ve Makroiktisadın temel ilkelerinin; iktisadi problemlerin, arz ve talep kanununun, piyasa dengesinin, tüketici ve üretici davranışlarının, piyasa yapılarının; milli gelir, enflasyon, işsizlik, iktisadi büyüme vb. sorunların öğrencilere öğretilmesidir.

The aim of the course is to teach students the basic principles of Microeconomics and Macroeconomics, economic problems, the law of supply and demand, market equilibrium, consumer and producer behaviors, market structures, national income, inflation, unemployment, and economic growth.

Dersin Öğrenme Çıktıları

(Course Learning Outcomes)

 Temel İktisat dersini başarı ile tamamlayan bir öğrenci,

I- Mikro iktisadın temel ilkelerine girişi; iktisadi problem, arz ve talep kanunu, piyasa dengesi, tüketici ve üretici davranışı, piyasa yapılarını öğrenir.

II- Makro iktisadın temel ilkelerine girişi, milli gelir muhasebesi, üretim, istihdam, işsizlik, enflasyon, faiz oranı hesaplamaları, para ve maliye politikası, uluslararası ticaret kavramlarını öğrenir.

A student who successfully completes the Basic Economics course,

I- Learns the basic principles of microeconomics, economic problems, the law of supply and demand, market equilibrium, consumer and producer behaviors and market structures.

II- Learns the basic principles of macroeconomics, national income accounting, production, employment, unemployment, inflation and interest rate calculations, monetary and fiscal policy and international trade concepts.

(Instructional Methods and Techniques)

 Slaytlar eşliğinde konuların kuramsal ve uygulamalı olarak anlatılması ve her dersin sonunda sorular ve yanıtlarla konunun anlaşılmasına katkıda bulunmak

 Explaining the subjects theoretically and practically with slides and contributing to the understanding of the subject with Q&A at the end of each lesson.
