Course Description

This course develops knowledge of the Maritime History and the review of Turkish Maritime History in terms of the maritime cultural heritage.

Course Objectives

to aim to research Turkish Maritime History and heritage and to convey this to future generations and to claim our  maritime.

To describe the effects of maritime developments on the maritime history and the culture.

Course Learning Outcomes

Students who have successfully completed the course have knowledge of the following subjects:

1. Know the periods of the World Maritime history and describe  the events of the Turkish Maritime History in Seljuk, Ottoman and Republican periods.

2.  Recognizes the important works of maritime art, literature and archeology.
