Course Description
|
Basic system architectures, business functional areas and processes will be reviewed. TPS, ERP, SCM,CRM, BPM, BI systems, benefits, costs and their evolution will be examined. Finally, to support each of the large business functional areas, it will be learned through the implementation of how EIS/ERP systems can be used. Throughout the semester, we will combine course material with applied computer work.

1. Recognize the basic business functions and explain how they are related.
2. See how non-integrated information systems cannot support business decision-making and how integrated information systems can help business executives succeed by providing accurate, consistent and up-to-date data.
3. To learn how to use enterprise information systems to optimize business processes with general rules.

Lectures, discussion, case analyses. The presentation of theoretical and practical techniques. Students are expected to prepare a project and make presentations.

Homework & Projects
|
Students will be required to solve problems presented in worksheets or online portal, to aid their efforts to follow the development of the course content and to prepare for the examinations.
*Quizzes will be managed parallel to the lecture subjects. They will be executed in ois system.
*Project: Students are expected to prepare a group “Term paper/project” about EIS topics and make presentations. (Use online remote teamworking tools for collaboration!) Details and delivery dates will be published in ois system for each group.
*Homework: Students are also expected to do EIS application homework via cloud system for “Practices”.
**IMPORTANT: Projects and Homeworks that are not submitted until delivery date, will get a zero (0) score. There will be no excuse accepted.

Will be announced 1 week before. This will be on computer lab or online

Computer Use
|
Students will use computers during the ERP or IS applications

Other Activities
|
Cooperation activities with companies or professionals.
Quizzes will be managed in random weeks parallel to the lecture subjects.
Other Conditions: In case of plagiarism and cheating, university legislation is applied. Assignments must be submitted on the delivery date in accordance with the announced format.
The student who does not take the exam must bring the doctor's report or inform the excuse by an e-mail. It is at the discretion of the instructor to make a make-up exam with the exception of the report status.
Success Requirements: Students must attend the course in accordance with the legislation, and if there is an excuse, they should report it at the appropriate time. Activities and effects on grading are given in the below table
