Course Description
This course aims to understand basic quantitative techniques concepts and mathematical modeling, formulate the mathematical model, apply linear programming method to the real life problems and apply the simplex method the linear programming problems. At the end of the course, students will have a fair understanding of the role quantitative techniques in logistics.
Course Objectives
This course provides you with information about fundamentals of transportation, transportation’s impact on economy, different modes of transportation and the functions of transportation modes. This course also gives you opportunities to indentify transport problems and distribution problems and solve these problems by basic solution methods of transportation problems and distribution problems
