Course Description
|
Descriptive statistics, probability, discrete probability distributions, continuous probability distributions, correlation, variance, standard deviation, mean, covariance, hypothesis testing, regression.

Course Objectives
|
The course aims to handling issues in basic statistics while covering descriptive statistics, data presentation, tendency and dispersion measures, distribution types, probability, point and interval estimates. In addition students will further advance through practicing applications.

Course Learning Outcomes
|
Students who successfully pass EF 214:
I.Will have internalized fundamental statistical concepts.
II.Will be able to select the appropriate statistical methods depending on the type of data.
III.Will be able to test for hypotheses using statistical methods.
IV.Will be able to consolidate interpretation of results with scientific research.
V.Will be able to share findings and recommendations related to the her/his field with expert and non-expert audiences based on data.
VI.Will operate according to social, scientific, and ethical values when collecting data related to the field, their analysis in computerized environments, interpretation, and the presentation of results.
VII.Will be able to calculate and interpret descriptive statistics in computerized environments.
