Research Proposal, Maritime Markets, Research Question, Literature Review, Research Paper

 

Course Objectives

 

This course intends to prepare graduate students for their thesis study. Building on the knowledge accumulated so far, each student is expected to have a specific research question in mind. Based on the constructed question each student will prepare an independent research paper, which will be submitted and presented at the end of the term.

 

Course Learning Outcomes

 

By students who passed from DIE 524 will successfully

  1. Be able to construct a research question
  2. Be able to write a research proposal
  3. Be able to formalize a theoretical framework in order to solve different questions in social sciences (specifically maritime markets)
  4. Be able to discuss different issues in maritime markets by combining the theoretical knowledge with applied tools of social sciences
  5. Be able to present a solid outline of a research paper
