Course Objectives
|
In this course, storage function, the basic functions of logistics management, will be explained administrative details. Students will learn warehousing activities seperately. This course includes the concepts of storage, storage activities such as receving, stocking, material handling, packing and labeling, the selection of warehouse location, handling equipments and types of storage systems, selection criterias of storage systems and order picking algorithms.

By students who passed from LTY503Warehouse and Bonded Warehouse Management successfully
Students will be
- able to define the concepts, functions and processes of warehousing
- able to explain layouts of warehouse
- able to apply the techniques of selection of warehouse
- able to recognize handling equipments in warehouse and have basic knowledge of handling equipments
- able to know storage systems and usage of these systems
- able to know the risk factors and avoid these risk factors in storage.
