Course Description
|
This course forms part of the proposed Modular Framework for professional qualifications based on a post graduate program in Nautical Sciences.
The Program provides Introduction to management theory and maritime organizations and students’ expertise of management theories and their application to maritime management and challenges within the contemporary business environment.

Course Objectives
|
To introduce the basic principles of management theory, quality tools, different management techniques and their applications to maritime industry.
To prepare students to lead high-performing, successful groups and organizations and seek an understanding of human behaviour to enhance management practice.
Additionally, this course teaches students basic concepts in the behavioral sciences that can improve their abilities to lead and manage in organizations.
