Course Description

Strategic Management is the capstone course for business administration majors. Students learn new strategy formulation, implementation, and evaluation concepts and techniques.

 

Course Objectives

 

This is a challenging capstone course that will allow students to function as the owner or chief executive officer of different organizations. Their major task in this course will be to make strategic decisions and to justify those decisions through oral and written communication.

 

Course Learning Outcomes

 

 Students will know how

  • to develop mission and vision statements
  • to scan the external and internal environment of organizations
  • to develop alternative strategies

And they will be able

  • to analyze firms in different industries, make objective strategic decisions for companies, and justify those decisions through oral or written communication.
  • to solve problems analytically related to business management and strategic management.
