Course Objectives

 

The aim of this course is to provide the students for identifying, analyzing and solving problems such as demand forecasting, capacity determination, planning concept, planning strategies, long, medium and short term planning, scheduling master production plans, determining material requirements, planning of logistics activities, demand planning and inventory optimization.

 

Course Learning Outcomes

 

By students who passed from UIT312 Production Management and Operations successfully

Students will

  1. Have information about production and operation concepts
  2. Be able to make demand predictions
  3. Be aware of inventory management, inventory concepts and types of inventory
  4. Be  able to determine order quantities in different conditions
  5. Be able to execute master production schedules and material requirement plans used in companies.
  6. Be familiar with quality concepts and types of the quality management
  7. Be able to solve facility location problems.
