WHY SHOULD YOU PREFER THE MARINE ENGINEERING PROGRAMME OF PRU MARITIME HIGHER VOCATIONAL SCHOOL (MVHS)?

Graduates of this programme will be able to gain proficiency of engines watchkeeping  officer on board vessels having machinery up to 3000 KW power after completing their onboard internship trainings. Additionally,  cadets who have attended the "Marine Engineering Programme" in PRU MHVS will have very special advantages as well. All trainings are carried out by highly experienced and competent "seafarer" instructors and academic lecturers supported by world class modern laboratories and simulators. In addition, students have the opportunity to do some part of their internship training onboard the PIRI REIS UNIVERSITY Ship. After graduating from this program, it is also possible to continue the "undergraduate" programme of marine engineering if students are able to pass a qualification exam.  Due to the quality of the PRU MHVS trainings, these students are able to continue their faculty training successfully and to be able to gain the proficiency level of oceangoing engineering officers and oceangoing chief engineers. Students who have  education in this program, as a first in Turkey; most of their tuition fees can be paid by working under a "work guarantee" after they graduate, pay a small amount of fee.

Graduates are the most preferred engineering officers and chief engineers for ships up to 3000 KW in power. In addition, there are also more lucrative job opportunities for those who gain experience in the profession, have additional training in the future, or those who obtain oceangoing watchkeeping engineering officer/chief engineer proficiency by completing undergraduate programmes. Marine Engineering Programme provides the necessary knowledge in the fields of advanced mathematics, physics, chemistry, technical drawing, computer, static, dynamic and heat transfer to graduates due to the diversity of technical equipments on ships as well as aims to train engine watchkeeping officers.

Graduates with this knowledge have jobs in different posts such as maintenance technician, repair facilities technician and maritime company technical support personnel in different companies.
