Course Description
|
Industrial automation and power hydraulic systems. Main principles and elements of hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Directional, flow, pressure and logical control valves. Hydraulic power units, pumps, hydraulic fluids, filters. Hydraulic and pneumatic circuit drawing and reading techniques. Fault location techniques in hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Types and characteristics of the sensors used in automation systems.

Course Objectives
|
- Develop the skills to recognize, read and create the hydraulic and pneumatic circuits and their drawings used in industrial automation.
- Teach the functions and utilization principles of the directional, flow control, pressure control and logical control valves used in hydraulic and pneumatic power and control circuits.

- Recognize all types of elements of hydraulic and pneumatic control and power circuits with their functions, characteristics and utilization principles.
- Ability to define the functions of hydraulic and pneumatic circuits.
- Ability to read and analyze hydraulic and pneumatic circuit diagrams.
- Ability to use the principle concepts of industrial automation applications.
