A student successfully completing this course will be:

  1. Able to apply several budgeting criteria and rules in the investment decision process
  2. Able to assess the risk return dynamics in both financial and maritime practices
  3. Able to distinguish among the relevant short and long term financing options
  4. Able to use a variety of statistical tools in the analysis of shipping data
  5. Able to apply the methods in financial theory to shipping data
