Course Description

Introduction to maritime commercial law, sources of maritime commercial law, definition of ship, ship registers, ship ownership, shipowner, crew, freight contracts, documents in maritime commercial law, carrier and responsibilities, passenger carriage, accidents at marine, search and rescue.

Course Objectives

Covering all institutions and concepts regarding national and international maritime commercial law

By students who passed from DBO 1010 successfully

1. Understand law, maritime law, maritime commercial law
2. Understand ship, ownership, ship registry, shipowner, responsibilities of parties
3. Understand  carriage contracts, freight contracts, contract  types
4. Recognise national and international documents
5. Understand  accidents at sea
