Course Description

Limits and Continuity, Differentiation, Graphs, Differential ,  İntegration and Methods of Integration, Area and Volume Computations, Series (Taylor-Maclaurin Series), Ellipse and Hyperbola

 

Course Objectives

 

1. To ensure that constitute the infrastructure for vocational courses of mathematics

2. To develop logic thinking

 

Course Learning Outcomes

 

Upon successful completion of the course, students should be able to

  1. take the limit of a function and search for continuity
  2. use differentiation in sketching  the graphs and in finding extreme values of functions
  3. evaluate integrals and  apply integration to compute area and volume
  4. integrate various functions by using techniques of integration     
  5. find the Taylor or Mclaurin series of a given function
  6. explain the concepts of the ellipse and the hyperbola and their properties
