Course Description

This course enables the cadets to gain an understanding of class and survey procedures and international regulations applied to the ship. It also aims to improve the cadets’ writing skills through use of certain forms and formats.

 

Course Objectives

 

Students who successfully pass this course will acquire knowledge and skills required for understanding classification and survey of ships. They will also improve their writing in technical and job related issues.

 

Course Learning Outcomes

 

In English, he or she:

1. Gains terminology and phrases used in class procedures.

2. Understands survey procedures and reports.

3. Writes work orders, technical requests and reports.

4. Manages correspondence related to job activities.
